The Andrew (Boy) Charlton Pool is a relaxing place to unwind after a busy day of sightseeing. Here you can swim a few laps, take yoga or pilates classes, get a massage or simply have lunch and look out over the views of Sydney Harbour.

Andrew (Boy) Charlton Pool, affectionately known as the ABC, is located on Mrs. Macquarie's Road in the Domain and is adjacent to the Royal Botanic Gardens.

The ABC is an easy 10-minute stroll from the CBD, or 2-minutes from Mrs. Macquarie's Chair.

This pool was the venue for Australian swimming legend Andrew Boy Charlton in the 1920's hence its name. It is also believed to be the birthplace of the Australian Crawl or freestyle
swimming stroke.

The swim season here is from September to May, but it is best to check their website for exact dates and admission prices, as they may vary.
