Adored by Sydneysiders, Centennial Park is a good place to exercise, have a picnic or simply kick back and relax.

The beauty of Centennial Park is that it is so close to everything. Literally across the road from Oxford St shops, and only a 5km drive from the city centre, it is easily accessible by car, bus or taxi.

Centennial Park was dedicated by Sir Henry Parks as a public open space in 1888 and was also the sight for the inauguration of federation in 1901.

Seeing as it is an inner city park, it is used for a number of purposes including cycling, horse riding and even doubles as an outdoor cinema. Every year Centennial Park places host to a summer music festival, which takes over the park, but is definitely worth the trip to see.
