Not all beaches in Sydney are surf beaches. Clovelly Beach is perfect for families or those who enjoy a more peaceful swimming setting. Concrete borders the beach, giving Clovelly a Euro feel.
Clovelly Beach is a small unusually shaped beach in the Eastern suburbs.
The shoreline stretches inwards and concrete sunbathing areas flank both sides of the beach.
This landscape creates a very calm and lagoon-like-beach which is suitable for children to swim in.
Although further into the beach are scenic rock pools and deeper waters for more serious swimmers.
Clovelly Beach is also a popular location for fishing, snorkelling and scuba diving. It is loved by locals and has less of a tourist feel than Bondi or Manly Beaches.
