The Royal Botanic Gardens offer spectacular views of views of Sydney's most famous icons.

The Royal Botanic Gardens are set between the city and the harbour and offer some of the best sightseeing in Sydney.

The Gardens are home to 11,000 plant groups from around Australia and overseas and
date back to the first settlement of Sydney in 1788, located on the site of the first Australian farm.

Here you'll find Sydney’s enormous flowering Gymea lilies, a Tropical centre with its distinctive glass pyramid, an oriental garden and a rose garden for the romantics.

On the far end of the Botanic Gardens, near the
Andrew 'Boy' Charlton Pool, is Mrs Macquarie's Chair. This chair was carved by convicts from sandstone, for the wife of famous early governor Lachlan Macquarie.

The Gardens are close to public transport and just a short walk from the CBD, the Art Gallery of New South Wales and the ABC Pool.

Entry into the Royal Botanic Gardens is free.
