Sydney has so many places to explore and its inner suburbs are a good place to start.
Surry Hills
is one of the fastest growing areas in Sydney and is practically next
door to the CBD. Either a 15-minute walk or a 5-minute train ride from Town Hall will get you here and this is one suburb that has plenty to offer.
Over the past few years
this area has undergone a huge transformation. It’s once run-down
warehouses are now home to some of the best creative and design
companies in the city.
If
Theatre is your thing, The Bell Theatre Company has their performance
space here and Opera Australia’s rehearsal space is just around the
corner.
On Bourke Street you'll find plenty of pubs to
choose from and it is a good spot to hang out after a long day of
sightseeing.
But, Crown Street is the
hub of hidden treasures in Surry Hills. On nearly every corner you’ll
find a café, restaurant, pub or boutique shop for any occasion, and if
you’re looking for a place to eat there’s a great mix of casual and
formal dining to choose from.
Surry Hills shops are quite diverse and some of the things you’ll find here are fashion, homewares, antiques and even tattoos, if you’re looking for that little something extra to remember your trip by.
